Slow News Weekly for Friday 2 February 2018

It’s been a while since Australia was in the top 10 of anything, but our PM Malcolm Turnbull is determined that our country will be a lead producer and seller of things military. That pronouncement is the lead story in Dave Burton’s Slow News Weekly today, accompanied by his take on the ABC’s ‘good fortune’ in being the beneficiary of hundreds of classified files discovered in a discarded filing cabinet, and, of course, the Blue, Super and Blood moon that made history this week.  Just as an aside, credit is due to my seventeen year-old son who took the picture you see here on his Google Pixel phone through his brand new telescope.  We think that’s awesome. Enjoy the read.
